Lady and the Tramp Glitches

Check out these mistakes from the Disney classic Lady and the Tramp:

Several of the dogs in the pound, namely Toughie, Pedro, and Dachsie, can easily fit through the bars and escape.

Jock and Trusty both propose marriage to Lady in order to give her a good home. Did they think that Jim Dear and Darling would just let their dog move in next door?

Tramp's bone is gone, but reappears at the same time as Lady's dish that wasn't there.

While barking at the rat, Lady stands as far as her chain will reach, on the brick walkway. A moment later, her chain doesn't reach quite as far. More...

Notes on the Dating of Disney's Tarzan

The Legend of Tarzan animated TV series gives some new insight into the dating of Disney's Tarzan. There are several indicators that may suggest an approximate year, but one reference is absolutely definitive: the sign on Dumont's trading post which states that it was "est. 1912".

Even allowing for the possibility of time passing between the end of the movie and the beginning of the series, this firmly places the characters in the post-Victorian world. How, then, can this date be reconciled with the clues in the animated feature? Jane's dress is clearly Victorian, and she anticipates meeting the Queen herself, who died in 1901. More...

For Disney Girls Only

So, you're a Disney fan, a true believer, a Disneyophile extraordianire. You're also single, female, and looking. If you're shopping for a mate, girls, you have to be certain of one thing: your guy's got to be Disney compatible. He needs to match your DQ (Disney Quotient) if you want to find magic in pairs. But, you ask, how can I be sure? Before you say "I do", check out these ten warning signs to see if you've found Prince Charming or just another frog.

  1. He calls Winnie the Pooh "Winnie". No, no, no. Pooh is acceptable, but Winnie, never.
  2. He changes his favorites with every new movie. Yes, favorite songs, characters, and films can change over time, but beware the guy whose best picture is always the latest picture. You want your man to be steady as the beating drum, so avoid this fickle type. More...

Peter Pan Glitches

What is a glitch? Glitches are mistakes in movies and TV shows. They can be technical goofs, continuity errors, or anything that makes you scratch your head and say, "Huh?" Here are some from the Disney animated classic Peter Pan.

How long does it take the population of London to notice that Peter Pan has turned the hands of their most famous clock ahead ten minutes?

In the close-up of the sleeping Lost Boys, you can't see Foxy using Cubby for a pillow.

What was Capt. Hook's name before he lost his hand?

In Captian Hook's crew uses a crude caricature of "the Cap'n" for target practice. Surprisingly, the drawing sports two hands. More...

Alice in Wonderland Glitches

It's not easy to detect a glitch amid the general wackiness of Wonderland, but here goes:

Alice opens multiple doors to follow the White Rabbit. When she finally gets through, the door behind her is a sliding panel, not the ordinary door we saw her open.

The "Drink me" label has a string attached to the end closest to the letter "E"; later it is attached to the "D" side.

When Alice exits the Tulgey Wood, we can see that the path leads straight to the castle. Yet, seconds later, Alice is somehow lost in a hedge maze. Where did that come from?

Identify This Disney Collectible

This item was listed on eBay as a model kit. Now, I don't think there has ever been a model kit made from The Great Mouse Detective; this looks more like a maquette to me. Alas, I didn't win the auction, so I can't give you anything more than these pictures, but any information you have will be appreciated.
You may have noticed that Ratigan's tail is missing, which might have given the seller the idea that this was a model kit. Do maquette's come apart like this? Are they created in pieces? Surely someone out there knows more than I do on this subject.
