Music From Rocks

Anyone who has ever seen the excellent movie What's Up, Doc? starring Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal knows that a lot of laughs are derived from the idea of music made from rocks. But did you know that an instrument called a lithophone is an actual thing? Check out the video:

Jim Cummings is not only a fabulous voice actor, performing an impressive list of characters that includes Pooh, Tigger, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, Zummi Gummi, Ray, and many more, but he's also a really funny guy. Here are a few videos featuring Mr. Cummings. He may not voice Goofy, but he can sure be a goof!

Eilonwy's blue dress is offered as a character costume change. Too bad she never wore one in the movie. Okay, so there was an early poster showing her in blue. But if we believed everything we saw on movie posters, we'd dress Snow White in pink.

Disney Characters Walking on a Treadmill

I suppose I'm easily amused, especially by anybody dressing up in Disney costumes, but I found this video highly entertaining. If anything, the final one is worth the time it takes to watch it all the way through.

This video was created to instruct Disney shareholders in how to vote in the annual business meeting. True, it only features re-used animation, but it's still worth a look, as is anything relating to Professor Ludwig Von Drake.

Getting Rid of Gophers

A friend sent me this video. I have no idea who the man is, but he's trying to exterminate the gophers in his backyard by pouring gasoline down their hole and then tossing in a lighted match. It takes him three tries to ignite the gas, so be patient--the result is worth the wait.

Funny Cat Video

I don't know whose cat this is, but, like most cats, it enjoys looking down on the world from a high perch. Only this kitty has come up with a really novel way to get down. Watch and see.

I came home from work to find a hawk on my porch eating a bird it had caught. I took a video through the window, which is too dark to see really well, but here it is anyway, a sight you don't see every day. Gross? Yes, but hawks have to eat, too.
