The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance, a new book by Jake S. Friedman, has been pending for years. Its debut has been delayed over and over again, for reasons unknown to the public, in spite of the fervent desire from fans to get their hands on it, present company included.

Return to Duck Tales

Disney has announced a new Duck Tales TV series is in the works. I don't know about you, but my first thought is, "What will the characters look like?" I think I can give you a sneak preview, courtesy of images found on Disney's blog, images which actually come from the remastered video game.

Of course, hand-drawn animation is too much to hope for, but Flash is ever so much better than CGI. The character design, as you can see, is flawed, but bearable.  The nephews, at only two-heads-high look top-heavy. And Scrooge has an infantile look about him, somehow. Still, it could've been ever so much worse. There is still reason to hope that the second Duck Tales will be worth watching.
