My favorite Disney parks attraction of all time is...was the Animation Studio Tour. In its original form, it took my breath away. I well remember my sister and I walking through it, staying behind in each section to watch the film again and again, soaking in every detail.
When hand-drawn animation was killed off, the attraction died, too. It was replaced with a pale imitation, a weak sister that even Mushu couldn't save, at least for anyone who knew what once had been.
Now Disney is attempting to bring back the glory. Oh, it won't be an actual studio any more; there's nothing to draw where Disney movies are concerned. But as an attraction, it could be something wonderful again. These preview pictures certainly show it getting off on the right foot.
