Luke's legs are closer together in the close-up of the cave ceiling.

If you look closely at the Wampa's arm, you can see where the fur ends and a sleeve begins.

Luke manages to slice off the Wampa's arm. It seems like, rather than running out into the frozen darkness, he might've finished off the creature and spent the night in the relative shelter of its cave. More...
